Thank you to the Salvadoran Coffee Council
Today, my host from Strong Tower Coffee took me to visit the Salvadoran Coffee Council. Each year, Strong Tower leverages the expertise the council provides to improve the quality of their coffee.
I originally met a representative of the Council, Oscar Machuca, at the SCAA Exposition in Seattle in April. He and the members of the quality lab took time from their busy schedules to meet with my host and me. Ernesto Velasquez, the Department Chief and "Q" Grade Cupper, also graciously shared his time.
Below is a picture of their generous gift, a pound of the 93 rated Pacamara Honey that won this year's El Salvador Cup of Excellence competition.
